This is the second drawing of the Rose series

*the rose series has a huge importance for me because I associate the rose to certain events and feelings. All the drawings in the Rose series have a rose motive- flowers,petals, colors, suggestion of a rose etc.

reference for the face from a photomanipulation. Didn't find it yet on dev to give the credits.

for trace: it's not the one I was talking about but it was done in the same period :)

Nice job. I like the roses, and the shading on the eyeshadow, although I think the eyelashes could stand to be darker. I like the faint geometric patterns, too.

the roses are quite a new style right now. no matter what I try, I'm still not pleased of the roses I do. The geometric patterns are almost like an accident :giggle:

I fail at drawing flowers and they intimidate me too much to try practicing them, so I admire anybody who can draw flowers decently well. ^^;

Re: the geometrics - Were they on the reverse side of the paper? It still looks neat.

yup. I did one and then I realized it was seen from the other side too. but I kinda liked it too, so I kept drawing more :aww:

A very good drawing. The theme is well portrayed. From my point of view it would have looked better in color (and by no means red :P ). Still, I like it very much.

I thought about colors too, but I couldn't decide which to use.. and I'm not sure I could've colored the tears and the roses the way I have them in my head, so maybe it's better like this :)
